On June 12, 2026, the Preliminary Round of the 29th (2026) Genuine Leather
Mark Cup Footwear Design Competition, hosted by the China Leather Industry
Association (CLIA) and organized by Guangdong XINHAOPAN Group, was held in
Guangzhou City.
With the theme of “The New Order,” this year’s competition
featured two sub-themes: “Sensory Revival,” and “The Post-Algorithm
Era.”
According to reports, since its launch, the competition has attracted 920
entries from 50 colleges and universities,
including Tsinghua University and China Academy of Art, as well as numerous
enterprises and independent designers. The entries span five major categories:
men's footwear, women's footwear, children's footwear, sports footwear, and
slippers. Following the preliminary evaluation, 100 entries have been
shortlisted for the finals. Under the competition rules, graduation projects
submitted by graduating university students are granted direct entry into the
final physical prototype judging stage.
