Indonesia is a natural next stop for APLF ASEAN. As the largest economy in ASEAN and one of the world’s leading footwear exporters, it brings together manufacturing scale and growing regional influence. For international suppliers of leather, materials, components, and manufacturing solutions, it represents a market of real strategic importance.
The country’s strength lies in its diversity. Indonesia offers a broad industrial base spanning leather processing, footwear, bags, furniture, automotive interiors, and lifestyle products. Across the leather value chain, capabilities extend from wet blue and crust to finished leather for footwear, handbags, upholstery, and industrial applications—making it a fully integrated sourcing destination.
Crucially, Indonesia is not just a production hub. It is also a market where sourcing and specification decisions are actively made. This dual role significantly enhances its appeal for suppliers looking to engage not only with manufacturers, but also with the decision-makers shaping material and component choices.
The organisers of APLF ASEAN 2026 have announced Jakarta as the host city for the upcoming edition, recognising Indonesia’s growing importance as both a manufacturing powerhouse and a sourcing destination within the region. Taking place on 18–19 November 2026, the event is designed to connect international suppliers with verified buyers and manufacturers from Indonesia and across ASEAN.
The real value lies beyond presence—it is about precision. APLF ASEAN provides a curated sourcing platform focused on business matching, product discovery, and meaningful commercial discussions, ensuring that exhibitors meet the right partners.
To further extend opportunities, the event includes additional business matching stops. Exhibitors can continue to Surabaya on 20 November—one of Indonesia’s key manufacturing centres—and then to Bangkok on 24 November, a major regional sourcing and fashion hub with strong access to Thai and ASEAN buyers.
