The fair which has been previously held in Thailand and Vietnam is scheduled to take place in November 2026 although the final dates and location have not yet been released. APLF made the announcement during the press conference at the APLF Leather Fair in Hong Kong on March 12.
Janice Lee, APLF Director, said that the organisers hope to locate the fair in Indonesia more permanently if they get support from the industry. The Asean region of Southeast Asia has population of over 300 million people and is one of the fastest growing economic regions in the world. It is also the centre of many footwear, upholstery and apparel manufacturing sites for global brands as well as the location of a growing number of tanneries.
