From January to April 2026, imports of raw hides
and skins were 0.505 million tons in quantity, increasing by 1.7%, and USD 0.40 billion in value, decreasing by 4.9% year-on-year. 0.2 million tons of semi-finished
leather were imported, bringing in a decrease of 10.8%; imports valued to USD 0. 26 billion, decreasing by 20.1% year-on-year. Imports
of finished leather were 11,000 tons in quantity, and USD 0.17 billion in value, down
by 9.0% and 5.1% respectively
year-on-year.
