The 26th edition of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) is set to take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in the Pudong district of Shanghai, September 1-3, 2026.
Speaking at a press conference in Chinese Hong Kong on March 13, Janice Lee, Director, APLF Ltd, co-organisers of the event, said that the past three editions of the ACLE had attracted record visitor numbers with over 32,000 people attending, mostly from China, in 2025.
APLF, along with the co-organisers the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), anticipate that 1,000 exhibitors will cover eight halls of SNIEC covering 92,000 sq m. Six halls will be dedicated to domestic exhibitors covering 70,000 sq m. Exhibitors include all parts of the leather supply chain from raw materials, chemicals, machinery, and semi-processed and finished leather across all the main leather industry market segments.
In 2026, CLIA will continue to host the second edition of “Fashion Fair", a fair dedicated to finished footwear, leather goods and apparel products.
Special zones will set up in ACLE to highlight the CLIA’s Eco-Leather mark and a number of side events are planned, including the CLIA’s annual general meeting.
Mr Chen Zhanguang, Vice Chairman, CLIA, said that although exports from the Chinese leather industry sales revenue fell by 13.1% in 2025 compared 2024, it was still worth more than US$83 billion which was still higher than its close competitors. China remains a key market for leather representing export opportunities for companies.
“The production of China’s automotive industry reached 34.53 million units in 2025, increasing 10.4% year-on-year and the production of new energy vehicles totalled 16.63 million units from the total figure. This was an increase of 29% year-on-year”, he explained. “The development prospects for automotive leather are promising.”
