In 2025, imports of raw hides and skins were 1.419
million tons in quantity, and USD 1.13 billion in value, decreased by 4.7% and 15.8%
respectively. 581,000 tons of semi-finished leather were imported, bringing in
a decrease of 6.1%; imports valued to USD 0.84 billion, decreasing by 18.1%
year-on-year. Imports of finished leather were 36,000
tons in quantity, and USD 0. 57 billion in value, down
by 15.6% and 15.7%
respectively year-on-year.
