The maker of breathable, moisture-absorbing footwear lining Cambrelle has announced that it has begun production of the material in Vietnam.

Camtex Fabrics Limited said that producing Cambrelle in Vietnam would help it meet “the growing local supply needs of global brands”.

Its expansion in Vietnam features two new production lines. The material these lines produce can be custom-dyed to any colour on order. They can also produce 100% recycled nylon options.

The new manufacturing capability can also produce heavy-duty materials for military and safety footwear.

“Expanding production to Vietnam allows us to be closer to our customers, respond faster to market needs and continue innovating in sustainability and performance,” said Camtex Fabrics managing director, Dr Kieran O’Hare.
