Massimo Confente is the new president of the Leather and Hide Section of Confindustria Vicenza. The entrepreneur, who serves as chairman of the board of directors at 3C Lavorazione Pelli in Arzignano, succeeded Mirko Balsemin (Nice) in the role. “I accept this position with the intention of continuing the work carried out in recent years”, he said, “based on dialogue and collaboration among trade associations, unions, and institutions”.
The presidency of the Leather Section
The meeting of the Leather and Hide Section held on April 14 marked the end of Balsemin’s term as president and the renewal of the Board. Now, with the inauguration of Confente, and that of Giuseppe Valter Peretti (Peretti Group) as vice president, a new chapter begins. As previously mentioned, this chapter will be characterized by continuity. “The sector is going through a complex phase”, continues the new president.
“The challenges require cohesion, vision, and the ability to work as a team. Precisely for this reason, I believe it is essential to continue working together to protect and strengthen the role of the Vicenza and Italian tanning industry”. Confente already has experience in association leadership, as he previously served as president of the Council of Industrial Users of Acque del Chiampo, as well as a board member of the Leather and Hide Section, a member of the Small Industry Committee of Confindustria Vicenza, and a member of the executive board of the Veneto Leather District.
