Argentina's National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) is inviting professionals, technicians and businesses across the leather value chain to take part in a new fully online training course, conducted in Spanish, focused on genuine leather identification and animal fibres.
Running from July 7–28, 2026, the self-paced course, Genuine Leather: Fundamentals and Identification of Animal Fibres, will cover the composition and characteristics of genuine leather, the properties of animal-derived fibres, microscopy techniques for leather analysis, methods for identifying leather structure, applicable standards and the requirements for obtaining the Genuine Leather Seal certification.
The programme is aimed at leather industry professionals, entrepreneurs, SMEs and organisations involved in leather goods, accessories, apparel and footwear. Participants will have ongoing access to course materials through the INTI Virtual Campus and will receive a certificate upon successful completion.
