For the 13 weeks ended June 27, 2026, retail revenue increased 5% to £455 million (US$604.21 million), compared to £433 million (US$575 million) in the same period last year. At constant exchange rates, retail revenue increased 4%, while comparable retail sales rose 5%, improving from a 1% decline in the prior-year quarter.

Comparable retail sales increased by 12% in the Americas and 9% in Greater China, while Asia Pacific grew 3%. EMEIA declined 3%, reflecting the ongoing impact of the conflict in the Middle East and lower tourist spending. Excluding the Middle East region, EMEIA was down 1%. South Korea remained a strong performer with 11% growth, while Japan declined 2% due to continued weakness in inbound tourism from China.

Burberry said brand momentum continued to strengthen during the quarter, with growth across womenswear, menswear, accessories and childrenswear for the first time in three years, led by strong demand for outerwear. The company’s ‘Portraits of an Icon’ campaign helped drive a 19% increase in new rainwear customers, while women’s handbags returned to growth and ready-to-wear performed well across knitwear, polos and swimwear. E-commerce sales also continued to grow by a mid-teens percentage, supported by improvements to the customer experience, while customer acquisition remained strong, particularly among Gen Z shoppers.

Looking ahead, Burberry said it expects to make further progress during FY27, including delivering revenue growth and margin expansion, while remaining mindful of the uncertain geopolitical and macroeconomic environment and its potential impact on consumer confidence. Retail space is expected to remain broadly stable, while wholesale revenue is now forecast to grow by a high-single-digit percentage in the first half of FY27 following a positive response from wholesale partners. The company also expects annualised cost savings of £100 million (US$132.79 million) by FY27, having already delivered £80 million (US$106.23 million) in FY26.
