Industry figures for the first five months of 2026 show leather export revenues of €60.6 million, an increase of 11% compared to the same months last year.

Of this, €52.1 million came from exports of finished leather, up by 9%, and the rest from semi-finished material.

Finished bovine hides contributed €22.7 million, an increase of 11% year on year, while the figure for calfskins was €14.6 million, up by 11%.
