Deckers Brands has reported first quarter fiscal 2027 net sales of $1.02 billion, up 5.7% compared with $964.5 million in the same period last year.

The US-based footwear group, which owns the Hoka and Ugg brands, said growth was supported by continued demand for both brands. Hoka sales increased 7.7% to $703.5 million, while UGG sales rose 4.9% to $278 million. Sales from other brands declined 18.1% to $37.9 million, partly reflecting the phase-out of standalone Koolaburra brand operations.

Direct-to-consumer sales increased 13% to $352.8 million, while wholesale sales rose 2.2% to $666.7 million. International sales grew 8.4% to $502.1 million, compared with a 3.2% increase in domestic sales to $517.4 million.

Gross margin improved slightly to 56.4%, compared with 55.8% a year earlier, although operating income declined to $155.3 million from $165.3 million due to higher selling, general and administrative expenses.

The company continues to expect annual sales of between $5.86 billion and $5.91 billion, with Hoka forecast to grow at a low double-digit rate and Ugg at a mid-single-digit rate.
