Wollsdorf Leather — the Austrian tannery belonging to the Wollsdorf International group, which ceased operations last winter — will go up for auction on
28 May. On 30 April, the company had already auctioned off its
office furnishings and equipment.

The closure of Wollsdorf came almost like a bolt from the blue.
Only a few months passed between the announcement of mass redundancies in November 2025 and the cessation of operations in January 2026. The time has now come to clear out the site (
pictured). The machinery auction is being
handled by Dome-Auctions, the Dutch firm specialising in industrial auctions. Bidding closes at 2pm on 28 May.
