From January to March 2026, imports of raw hides
and skins were 365,000 tons in quantity, increasing by 1.9%, and USD 0.29 billion in value, decreasing by 6.1% year-on-year. 150,000 tons of semi-finished
leather were imported, bringing in a decrease of 10.3%; imports valued to USD 0.2 billion, decreasing by 20.2% year-on-year. Imports
of finished leather were 8,127.8
tons in quantity, and USD 0.12 billion in value, down by 11.9%
and 8.0% respectively year-on-year.
