South Tyrol-based outdoor group Oberalp has named Philip Tavell as the new general manager of its Dynafit brand. The Swedish national replaces Benedikt Böhm, who left Dynafit in June 2025 after 22 years at the company.
Mr Tavell has worked for Craft and Red Bull, and was most recently head of the outdoor market for Norwegian brand Helly Hansen. He is also a skier and mountain biker, competing in pro races.
At Dynafit, his mission is to grow the brand’s international presence and drive its product and innovation strategy. Dynafit’s sales are in the order of nearly €100 million, it is the family-owned group’s second biggest brand, after outdoor footwear brand Salewa.
