From January to September 2025, the sales revenue of key tanneries in China
reached a total sales revenue of 41 billion RMB, decreased by 4.7% year-on-year.
From January to September 2025, imports of raw hides
and skins were 1.06
million tons in quantity, and USD 0.84 billion in value, decreased by 5.1% and 17.2% respectively. 438,000 tons of semi-finished leather were imported, bringing in a decrease
of 5.0%; imports valued
to USD 0.65
billion, decreasing by 16.1% year-on-year. Imports of finished leather were 28,000 tons in quantity, and USD 0.43 billion in value, down by 15.7%
and 16.9% respectively year-on-year.
